Fashion Designers: Dolce & Gabanna

Dolce & Gabbanna, the hot new fashion house from Italy has captured the imagination of the young and trendy set. Upbeat, modern with a touch of retro defines the House of Dolce & Gabanna.

Domenico Dolce was born in Polizzi Generosa Italy on August 13, 1958. Estefano Gabbanna was born in Milan Italy on November 14, 1962.

The duo opened a fashion consulting studio in 1982 and in 1985, they established Dolce & Gabbanna. That same year, they showed their first major women's collection. In 1987, they expanded to knitwear; 1989 - beachwear; 1990 - men's wear; 1992- women's fragrance and the D&G line; 1994 - men's fragrance and home collection; 1996 - jeans line and eyewear.
